Diamond cutters and gemologists agree, that regardless of the diamond's size, color, or clarity, "Cut" is the most important of the 4-C's of diamond quality. Cut refers to the proportions and symmetry of a diamond. For instance, a round brilliant cut diamond contains 57 or 58 facets. If the facets are not precisely placed and the proportions of the diamond are not within ideal cutting limits, then regardless of the other 4-C's, a diamond will not be able to display its maximum brilliance, fire, and scintillation.
At Loose Diamonds Dallas, we specialize in diamonds of phenomenal beauty.

As seen in the above left image, when diamonds are cut too deep or too shallow then light leaks through the pavilion (bottom) of the diamond. When properly cut, light entering a diamond will be refracted and reflected within the diamond resulting in an amazing display of beauty.
