Carat weight is the easiest of the 4-C's to see since it represents the physical weight of a diamond. Each diamond is weighed on an electronic scale to determine its weight in "carats". One metric carat is equal to 0.200 grams. There are 100 points to one carat: 100 points = 1.0 carats.
Your purchase will include a gemological report which will list the carat weight and physical measurements (expressed in millimeters) of your gemstone.
